2.1 資源示意圖
2.1.3 加拿大年度排名大學資源示意圖網站
在 2000 年Dahl[13]對加拿大大學圖書館資源示意圖的研究中，根據 1999 年Maclean’s 提出的年度排名一流的加拿大大學中，選出四十五個主題的資源 示意圖網站，以評估現有的資源示意圖相關文獻提出之建議。Maclean’s1的大 學排名，是依照學 位 的 類 型 、 研 究 資 源 與 博 士 課 程 的 數 量 為 基 準 ，故 Dahl的研究對象類型分為三種，包括：博士或醫學院 (Medical/Doctoral) 、綜 合 型 (Comprehensive) ， 和 以 學 位 為 主 的 大 學 (Primarily Undergraduate Universities) ，每一種類型包含三所學校，每個學校選出五個主題的資源示意 圖網站，其研究的學校類型及選擇之資源示意圖參見表 4。

研究中以四種標準分析資源示意圖，即一致性 (Consistency) 、範圍 (Scope) 、易讀性 (Readability) 、可用性 (Use/Usability) 。在結構簡單的資源 示意圖中，一致性是比較容易維持的，不會有過多階層或擴展；另外，研究中
資源示意圖的價值。以四種標準評估三個類型九所學校之資源示意圖網站的得 分，參見表 5，在一致性部分，McGill 和 Trent 是得分最高的；在範圍部分，
McGill 得到最高的分數；在易讀性部分，Queen’s 和 Simon Fraser 得到了最高 分；在可用性部分，Simon Fraser 有最高的分數。

表 6 、 表 7 、 表 8 顯 示 這 三 種 類 型 的 資 源 示 意 圖 ， 其 中 以 綜 合 型 (Comprehensive) 大 學 的 總 得 分 最 高 ， 以 學 位 為 主 之 大 學 (Primarily Undergraduate Universities) 的圖書館則得到了最低的評分等級，且數字顯示維 持一致性是比較容易的。
