It started with introducing the history and con-tent of gender mainstreaming, and then listed the related United Nations policies. It also described the develop-ment of woman health policies in Taiwan, and pointed out the flaws in them, i.e medicalization, commercialization, and backlash. In the end, the author provided some suggestions for the gender mainstreaming movement in Taiwan, i.e gender equity education, gender impact analysis, empowerment.
