Cry loud, hard, and sadly in my life.

There were probably only twice.

The first time I cried louder than a thunder.

Was the moment when my life began.

And you were just a twenty something man.

Never could I remember it.

Until I was told by you.

For I could remember nothing.

The second time I cried louder than a thunder.

Was the moment when you left.

And I already got older and weaker.

Never could you know about it.

Most of us are no strangers to the saying, When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, by which it means when something bad happens in your life, you can still make the best out of it. Not many people, though, know where this saying came from or when it was first used.

To begin with, we need to know a little about Marshall P. Wilder, who was an actor, and one of the first persons with disability to become famous in his own way. As a child, Wilder already found himself pretty good at telling stories and making people laugh. Later, he even learned to make a little money from his stories and funny acting. When Wilder passed away in 1915 at the age of fifty-five, Elbert Hubbard, a Christian writer, wrote an obituary to praise his positive attitude and achievement in the face of his disabilities. Hubbard wrote, His was a sound mind in an unsound body. He picked up the lemons that fate had sent him and started a lemonade-stand. While reading this, is your heart filled with both respect and sadness as mine is? It happens so often that those who bring us the most happiness are at the same time bearing the greatest misfortune in their own lives.

Among people born with disability or suffering from tragedies in the course of life, we see some of them totally held back by it, and some face it with anger and self-pity. Still others make lemonade out of the lemons fate has given to them, like Marshall P. Wilder; they choose to fight bravely and try their best to live their lives to the fullest.
