VISITOR ARRIVALS February 2013

 Attributable to the Lunar New Year, visitor arrivals increased by 11.5% year-on-year to 2,376,840, with same-day visitors accounting for 53.2% of the total. In the first two months of 2013, visitor arrivals totalled 4,689,161.

 Mainland visitors totalled 1,508,599, with 754,692 travelling to Macao under the Individual Visit Scheme.

 Long-haul visitors from the US, Australia and Canada decreased by 6.6%, 21.4% and 4.6% respectively year-on-year, while those from the UK and the Russian Federation increased by 3.3% and 9.8%.



The average length of stay of visitors stood at 0.9 day, with overnight and same-day visitors staying 1.8 days and 0.2 day respectively.
