M+ is a new museum in Hong Kong, dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting visual art, design, architecture, moving image, and Hong Kong visual culture of the twentieth and twenty- first centuries.

In the related workshop, students will analyse how and why objects in the M+ Collections were made and create their own versions by redesigning everyday objects. Students will be able to discover new functions of and possibilities for familiar objects.

In the related workshop, students will
participate in a unique flower arrangement exercise. Students will explore ideas centred around colour, texture, and composition by arranging plants, tools, and everyday objects.

活動時段為 2022 年 10 月 5 日至 2023 年 1 月 31 日。
Phase 1 bookings are closed. The programme period is from 5 October 2022 to 31 January 2023.
第二階段活動將於 2022 年 12 月 1 日 16:00 起接受報名。 教師可透過我們的網上 系統遞交 2023 年 2 月 1 日至 2023 年 4 月 28 日期間的預約。
Phase 2 bookings will be available from 1 December 2022 at 16:00. Teachers can submit their
requests through our online application system for visits between 1 February 2023 to 28 April 2023.

Target audience
Primary and secondary school principals and teachers. Previous experience in artistic creation is not required.
Learning outcomes

「草間彌生:1945年至今」是著名藝術家草間彌生在日本以外的東亞地區舉行的最大回顧展,展出逾200件 來自亞洲、歐洲、美國及草間彌生本人收藏的展品,涵蓋草間彌生逾七十年藝術生涯。
Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now is the largest retrospective of renowned artist Yayoi Kusama in East Asia outside Japan, featuring more than 200 works from major collections in Asia, Europe, and the United States, as well as from the artist’s own collection in her over seven-decade career.

Designed to offer primary and secondary school teachers a deeper understanding to the creative practices of artist Yayoi Kusama, this programme provides an overview of M+’s special
exhibition
Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now
and highlights selected works that guide teachers through Kusama’s creative outpouring across different themes. The briefing session and gallery visit will help teachers develop teaching and learning activities for students before and after visiting the exhibition.為了讓中小學教師更深入了解草間彌生的藝術實踐,是次活動將提供M+特別展覽
「草間彌生:一九四五年至今」的概覽,並重點介紹部分精選作品。教師可藉此 認識草間藝術創作生涯中探索的不同命題,運用其中內容以設計學生訪館前後的 教學活動。

M+為學校提供一系列免費的網上教學資源,包括展覽相關錄像、藏品 品故事短片,藝術家和創作人的訪問片段。教師可按課堂所需,讓學生 在到訪M+前,了解M+藏品及藝術家或設計師的創作背景,更可運用其 中內容以設計延伸活動,作為訪館體驗的延展或未來計劃的起點。
M+ provides a series of free online learning resources, including exhibition- related videos, short clips of collection stories, and interviews of artists and makers. The information provided can be used to fit your lesson plan,
helping students learn about the M+ Collections before their visits. This can also be used for extended activities to follow up on experiences or as
starting points for further projects.
