The development of the higher education policies of accepting Mandarin students in Taiwan.
Abstract
Facing the trend of globalization and the challenges of Taiwan higher education, one of the crucial issues is the Mandarin students enrollment in higher education. This paper is to explore the policy of accepting Mandarin students in higher education and the cross-straight communication and development.
This paper is divided into three parts. Firstly, it demonstrates the changing of policies from DPP government to KMT. Secondly, is the policy plan and the related moves of Mainland Affairs Council, including the “three no; six limit” policies. Thirdly, it analyses the situation based on the educational profession, enrollment, application and registration.
