二、 教學目標 Objective:
The objective of this course is to help students with fundamental writing skills in English and encourage you to think independently. They will learn how to write expressively in English on a variety of topics when the vocabulary and organizational tools are supplied. Students will be taught how to organize information differently, efficiently and logically in English. After this course, they are expected to write short articles (150-200 words) efficiently.
Requirements:
Although this course is on-line based, attendance is still compulsory. It means that students are expected to study the learning materials regularly, give responses as requested and always hand in assignments on time.
三、 適合修讀對象
1) 有志改進英文寫作能力且（建議）托福 400 分以上之大學生和研究生；
2. 英、外文系、商管系與應用英、外語系一、二年級學生。

4. 本學期需到校三次，請依據學校公佈之行事曆之開學第 二週、第九週 第十八週之週六上午 10:10-12:00AM 到校上課及參加考試。教室地 點開學後另行通知。 (為避免第一週因選課或教室安排問題過於倉促，
第一週課程請見網課資料、上網填寫課程需求問卷並請同學備齊本課 程所須需教科書等，第二週到校上課將接續第一週正式課程內容並詳 細說明針對同學所需的課程內容。)
成績評量方式（包括考試方式、考評項目其所佔總分比率）
(1) 40% Assignments (2 papers and 2 grammar quizzes) (2)30% Mid-term Examination
(3)30% Final Examination
*14 weekly responses before mid-term exam and another 14 after mid-term are required as both writing practice and attendance record.
