第三節 未來研究

在未來研究,有兩大方向,可以與本研究啣接。

1. IPTV 發展因素的探討。本研究僅將 IPTV 視為 DSL 多元化發展之一,

並未深入分析IPTV 發展的由來。但是,DSL 業者卻視 IPTV 為必打的 戰役,因為IPTV 具有互動性、跨國性、且更重要的是可擴大 DSL 業 者的固有市場。IPTV 發展最快速的國家之一是韓國,Shin (2007) 認 為影響韓國 IPTV 主要因素為產品本身的特色(及時、互動、加值,

相容性等)、成本、人口素質、政府的干預(供應端與需求端)、政府 對大企業(chaebol,或譯為財閥)的支持態度等,但是,實務導向的

Point-topic (2006b) 則認為網路品質及用戶終端設備成本、各國獨特市 場條件(衛星與有線電視普及程度)、DSL 業者價格戰的空間、IPTV 串流訊號與既有電視結合的服務問題、未來的技術未定論,皆可能影 響 IPTV 的發展。因此,一項項探討並分析,建立利害關係架構,是 可行的研究方向。

2. DSL 業者在面對毛利率下滑的寬頻市場,如何留住用戶?這部份研究 並不容易,因為業者為了吸引新用戶,其促銷手法已經由原本與DSL 商品具互補性的商品或服務(例如:無線路由器、筆記型電腦、讀卡 機等),延伸至異業結盟的商品或服務(例如:旅遊或購物禮券),林 林總總的促銷,已經摧毀既有顧客的忠誠度。但此種促銷方式究竟是 驅逐顧客或是招徠顧客?是否存在讓 DSL 業者纏住用戶的好方法?

其實 BT 將固接電話、行動電話、寬頻服務整合為家庭通訊服務的中 樞,或是美國Verizon 推出的 iobi home,都可能是未來研究方向之一。
