第四節 研究限制與建議
本研究是以個案為出發點,亦即是透過世界遺產志工的內容發展出研究架構,
除了議題本身新穎,在理論上縱使盡可能地爬梳文獻,目前計畫型休閒與遺產教 育相關的討論,似乎集中在博物館所提供的社會教育功能,而兩者之間並無太多 直接的連結,所以本文僅止於探索,尚未能與更多的研究進行比較和討論。再者 雖然選擇的理論確實為研究提供佐證,其適切性得再經由更多的研究測試,且本 文採單一個案研究,因為特殊、不具通則性的特色,也使得無法泛化的研究結果 成為限制之一。
至於在執行時所遇到的困難,首先世界遺產志工計畫有著特定的申請流程和 期程,在時間方面會受到諸多限制,尤其從錄取到活動的實際執行皆充滿不確定 性,難以事先做足準備,因此在彙整文獻與擬定訪談大綱等過程都面臨挑戰,又 蒐集資料的時間非常集中,許多一手資料必須即時取得,且活動發生在特定的空 間,在主要訪談對象(即志工)的部分抽樣就是母群體的情況下,也使得資料難 以達到飽和,筆者僅能於當下隨機應變,盡可能地完整蒐集,並於田野調查結束 後回頭調整欲檢視的理論。另一方面,儘管筆者有幸成為研究對象中的參與者,
事實上這正意味著在考察的過程中無法顧及整體,特別是分組操作的項目必須藉 零碎的資料補足。而訪談的部分也因為受限於活動的進行與受訪者的態度,不僅 未能更深入地接觸在地工作者,許多時候就連青年志工都僅能把握研究欲檢視的 要點詢問,故只盼能藉這有限的資源盡力發揮、有所貢獻。
二、未來研究建議
關於未來的研究方向,本文是以參與者身份進行田野調查,並透過相關文件 的蒐集,以及2015 年威瑪世界遺產志工成員對活動的看法,來檢視休閒與遺產教 育之間的關係。縱使活動期程短暫、對當地來說一年僅舉行一次,且是處於變動 的狀態,不是每個計畫都能像威瑪一樣持續舉辦,但目前就官方資料來看,這應 是會持續下去的操作,故建議研究者之後可以拉長時間軸,也不妨提前與相關單 位聯繫、事先擬定訪談大綱,將更多的權益關係人納入討論,尤其是長期為遺產 付出的在地工作者,從非官方的角度深入檢視計畫在這部分的實踐,另一方面也 可透過其他個案,來確認本研究的發現,為休閒和遺產教育在實務和學術方面做 出更大的貢獻。
