第六章 結論與建議
第二節 研究限制與建議
本文是以2008年第七屆立法委員選舉情形為主要研究對象，並以TEDS的問卷調 查資料進行分析。以下為本次研究的限制與不足：
一、本次研究分析方式為橫切面分析（cross-sectional analysis），無法針對長期 台灣選民政黨支持變遷的情況進行研究，在解釋上或有不足之處。若能以長期連續的 方式縱剖面分析（longitudinal analysis），對台灣選民對政黨支持的變遷進行探討，
應能得到更好的研究結果。
二、本次研究的數據樣本多數為國民黨與民進黨，除國、民兩黨外的政黨的數據 樣本則過於稀少，因此臺灣其他政黨在部分研究分析並未納入。所以對於國、民兩黨 外的其他政黨的解釋或有缺失之處。若能獲得更多有關臺灣其它政黨的數據資料，對 其進行探討，應能得到更好的研究結果。
臺灣是個民主的社會，因此選舉活動對臺灣來說是不可或缺的，往後臺灣的選民 投票行為勢必依然存在。因此對有興趣進行投票行為研究的後續研究者，作者的後續 研究建議如下：
一、第七屆立法委員選舉是首次採用單一選區兩票制的選舉，因此整個選舉情況 或許會因選制改變而出現與以往不同的情況。往後臺灣的選舉制度勢必是以新選制為 主軸，希望往後研究者能持續對選舉研究進行探討，以瞭解新選制對選民投票行為的 影響。
