Body language plays an important role in our life and often shows what we think and how we feel. However, is it possible that body

language can change what we think, how we feel, and even who we are? Amy Cubby, a professor in Harvard University, made a speech on Ted, sharing her idea about how body language affects what we think and how we feel. She noticed that top students would sit in the middle of the classroom, take up more space, and raise their hands before they spoke. Students who spoke less in class would sit in the back or the corner. With a hope to help those who spoke less in class with their classroom

performance, she wondered if body language would change the way people think and help them become who they want to be, so she made a test.

There were two groups in her test. One group was asked to do high-power poses—standing still and spreading out their hands and legs. The other group needed to do low-power poses—sitting and keeping their limbs closed. She found that after people opened their limbs for 2

minutes, they were more willing to take challenges. Body language can possibly change what we think, how we feel, and become who we want to be. Toward the end of her speech, Amy Cubby said, “Fake it till you

become it……Do it enough until you actually become it and internalize.” 52. What is the best title for this passage?

54. Which of the following best describes a high-power pose mentioned in the passage? ___B____

(A) (B)

(C) (D)

55. What can be inferred(推論) from “Fake it till you become it……Do it enough until you actually become it and internalize”?

(A) To fake our body language, we need to learn how to show our feelings. (B) Faking body language is a wrong thing to do if we want to change ourselves. (C) We should not fake our body language just to become successful and smart. (D)Faking our body language to change ourselves is not a one-time thing. V. Translation—請將答案整齊寫於答案卷上。 (15 %)
