ABSTRACT
This study aims to understand the influence of the international quality management standards (ISO9000, ISO16949 and ISO13485) on the manufacturing industry's operation and management, especially on quality management and quality assurance (QA), and enlighten them on the implementation effects and applications of the international Quality Management Systems (QMS).
In this era of globalization and uprising price, the main challenge faced by enterprises is to manage to stay afloat by managing their operations well and improving their own competitive edge. This study will tackle the differences in perception regarding the said QMS and the benefits that companies gain from implementing such standards, so as to provide a reference for other enterprises who are considering incorporating the QMS into their plans. This study mainly analyzes how the enterprise's industrial domain, pattern, turnover, sales orientation, product orientation, implementation motivation, implemen- tation management representatives influence the following eight dimensions: business, research and development, procurement, production, warehousing, quality assurance, management and the company as a whole. This systematic case study focuses on the domestic manufacturing industry. 100 domestic manufacturers were selected (including the transnational enterprises they are affiliated to) as its research subjects.
