Visitors on package tours totalled 725,000, down by 31.6% year-on-year; those from Mainland China dropped by 34.4%. For the whole year of 2015, package tour visitors decreased by 12.2% year-on-year to 9,777,000, with declines observed in major source markets.

Outbound residents using services of travel agencies decreased by 2.8% year-on-year to 135,000, with those travelling on package tours by 5.7%. For the whole year of 2015, outbound residents using services of travel agencies totalled 1,510,000, down by 1.7% year-on-year;

those travelling on package tours increased by 4.1%, and the main destinations were Mainland China, the Republic of Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

There were 106 hotels and guesthouses operating at the end of December 2015, up by 8 year-on-year (five 5-star hotels and three 4-star hotels). Number of guest rooms increased by 4,300 to 32,000.

Number of guests checking into hotels and guesthouses totalled 1,053,000, and the average occupancy rate stood at 82.8%. For the whole
