- Visitor arrivals in package tour surged by 26% year-on-year, with the majority coming from Mainland China (80% of total). In the first three quarters of 2013, visitors in package tour increased by 13% year-on-year.
- Outbound residents using services of travel agencies totalled 110,360, up by 5% year-on-year and 38,651 travelled in package tour. In the first nine months of 2013, outbound residents increased by 15% year-on-year.
- Guests staying in hotels and guesthouses increased by 10% year-on-year, with 503,784 staying in 5-star hotels. From January to September 2013, hotel guests increased by 14% year-on-year.
