China increased by 1%, while those from the Republic of Korea, Malaysia and Indonesia registered notable decline. For the whole year of 2013, visitor arrivals in package tour increased by 7% year-on-year, with Mainland visitors rising by 14%.
- Outbound residents using services of travel agencies rose by 2% year-on-year to 130,870 in December; those traveling in package tour totalled 51,335. In 2013, outbound residents increased by 12% year-on-year to 1,446,214.
- Guests staying in hotels and guesthouses increased by 7% year-on-year in December, with 571,113 staying in 5-star hotels. In 2013, the average occupancy rate stood at 83%.
