– Visitor arrivals by air (+22.0%) and by sea (+4.5%) recorded year-on-year growth, while those by land (-12.3%) decreased.

Visitor arrivals totalled 2,741,465, down by 4.7% year-on-year. Overnight visitors increased by 8.8% whereas same-day visitors decreased by 16.8%. The average length of stay of visitors rose by 0.2 day year-on-year to 1.3 days, with that of overnight visitors and same-day visitors staying at 2.1 days and 0.2 day respectively.

– Visitors from Mainland China decreased by 3.5% year-on-year, with those travelling under the Individual Visit Scheme (896,088) dropping by 20.6%.

Visitors from Hong Kong (438,573) and Taiwan (83,591) went down by 16.8% and 0.8% respectively, while those from the Republic of Korea (97,861) rose by 20.2%. Visitors from the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom registered decline, whereas those from Australia increased.
