My collaborative interactions with the Department of Microbiology & Immunology, NCKU have led to a vibrant and dynamic program, as witnessed by research and teaching activities. In addition to specific accomplishments listed below, I am frequently involved in student counselling, mentoring and research discussions at the departmental and faculty level.
Research
Research collaboration with Dr Yee-Shin Lin has focused primarily on dengue pathogenesis, in particular immunopathological aspects and the role of mast cells and cytokine networks. Recent publications include:

在研究上,共同研究主題為登革病毒之致病機制,尤其是免疫病理及訊息傳遞,著重於細胞 被感染時細胞激素的作用,而其中 mast cells 扮演的角色。本年度已共同發表兩篇期刊論文,另 有 在 投 稿 中 的 manuscripts 。 在 教 學 上 , 負 責 Graduate Immunology 四 週 課 程 , Advanced Immunology 兩次課程,和 Infection and Immunity 一次課程,並且參與研究生每週之專題討論。在 EV71-dengue co-meeting 報告研究結果,並且接受邀請在研討會演講。
(3)受延攬人之研究或教學或科技研發與管理成果對該計畫(或貴單位)助益如何?
How have the research, teaching, or R&D and management results of the employed person given benefit to the project (or your unit)? 此密切的國際合作在傳染性疾病及訊息研究中心的登革病毒及訊息傳遞研究有很大的助益, 參加研究進度報告,並且共同發表論文。對於基醫所博士班和微免所碩士班研究生,無論在教學 和研究上以及英文能力的增強都提供極大助益。
(4)受延攬人於補助期間對貴單位或國內相關學術科技領域助益如何?
How has the employed person, during his or her term of employment, benefited your unit or the relevant domestic academic field? Dr. Robert Anderson 對於成大碩博士班研究生在學術研究上提供貢獻,擔任研究生的論文指
導委員會,必且參加本中心定期舉行的進度報告會議。本次補助期間(12 月份)接受邀請在高
雄醫學大學舉行的國際研討會演講,演講主題為登革病毒的免疫病理機制。

2. 共同發表兩篇期刊論文,並有 manuscripts 在送審或撰寫中 3. 與感染與免疫相關的授課計 7 次(6 次各 3 小時,1 次 2 小時) 4. 英文論文寫作的課程與輔導
5. 參與研究生每週之專題討論,以及免疫和感染症書報討論 (Immunology Journal Club 和 Infectious Disease Journal Club)
6. 參加傳染性疾病及訊息研究中心定期舉行的進度報告會議,並且做口頭報告 7. 專題演講
