VISITOR MOVEMENT
The number of visitor arrivals in Macau, by different modes of transport, was 655,874 in November 1999 which showed an increase of 18.0% when compared with the same month of 1998.
In the first eleven months of 1999, there was a total number of 6,803,723 visitor arrivals by sea (through Outer Harbour and Pier No. 14), by land, and by air, represented an increase of 7.3% over the same period of 1998.
From January to November of 1999, visitor arrivals by sea through Outer Harbour were 3,930,092, corresponded to a decrease of 6.2% over the same period of 1998. Visitor arrivals by air totalled at 617,027, represented an increase of 32.5%. The number of visitor arrivals through Macau International Airport increased by 32.2% over the same period of 1998, at 587,718.
There were 2,121,946 visitor arrivals by land in the first eleven months of 1999, equivalent to an increase of 34.4% compared with the same period of 1998.
