Analysis of Jhong Li-He’s “Writing about
Diseases”

Abstract
Jhong Li-He had a rough time all his life, and suffered from both poverty and sickness. But he loved his life, was passionate about literature, and wrote warmly but keenly in his literary creations, though he passed away in blood. Over the past decades, a considerable number of books and critics have been made on Jhong Li-He, most of them were with respect to his national consciousness, patriotism, peasantry literature, and local literature. Very few scholars have made further studies in connection with Jhong Li-He’s writings about diseases. Therefore, this paper tried to focus on the intentions deep inside Jhong Li-He’s heart when he wrote about diseases of others, his wife, children and his own, when he tried to inspire people to courageously deal with adversities, and pave the way for their successes.
