5.1.3 研究限制與未來研究建議方向
台灣司法通譯協會成立至今僅有一年多，且各區發展進度不一，有的地區已 與當地司法機關取得合作共識並開始接派案件，有些則仍在招募會員與訓練基礎 倫理中。各地未來將會如何發展，尚未可知，於此階段以協會作為研究對象，尚 無法確實指出其對於台灣司法通譯之專業化之實質影響。再者，舉辦司法通譯培 訓之機構眾多，未來也可能形成其他以專業協會為目標之組織，究竟台灣司法通 譯協會能否成為 Tseng 模型第三階段中具代表性之專業協會，還無法下結論。未 來若有研究者欲探討司法通譯界之專業協會，可待協會運作數年後再行觀察，若 出現功能類似之團體組織，則幾個組織間之差異比較與競合關係，皆是值得探討 之議題。
另外如前所述，因協會成員以新住民為多，故本研究受訪者亦以新住民為多 數，缺少其他如英文、歐洲語言以及手語組之受訪者，而不同語言組所面臨之問 題可能也稍有不同，故研究結果無法代表全體司法通譯界之狀況。
而本研究所得的司法通譯角色不一致之議題，以及缺乏制度、不以專業能力 為選才考量等警局通譯所面臨的困難，目前國內仍少有相關資料，為值得更進一 步探討之問題。尤其正如 Rudvin(2007)所說，角色認同是一種社會建構的過程，
不可能脫離人所屬的社群與文化而不受影響。故「新住民」的角色認同，不管是 對於司法通譯還是醫療通譯，皆勢必有其影響，亦是社區通譯的特性之一，為未 來欲研究社區通譯者不應忽略之因素。然此領域非翻譯學術所設略之範圍，故期 待未來能引進更多其他學術領域之理論與觀點，使社區通譯研究能更臻詳盡。
