背後還有試題喔!

Do you like elephants? Elephants are the largest and strongest land animals on earth. Although they are big and powerful, their living in the wild is in danger now. Not only thousands of elephants are killed for ivory, but their habitat is much smaller.

To have people learn about the danger faced by Asian and African elephants, a man named Marc Spits began the Elephant Parade in 2006 after he met a poor baby elephant, Mosha, which had lost one of her legs in a land mine accident.

The parade is held in major cities in the world, and you can find lots of colorful elephant statues which are painted by certain artists in the parade. They are put in public places not only for watching but also for sale. So far, the parade has raised a lot of money to help protect elephants like Mosha.

Spits plans to continue it to improve the conservation of these beautiful animals. So, don’t forget to take a look when the parade comes to your city.

Ross is feeling blue because something has been bugging him lately. He has a dream of being an artist and hopes to study art in the future, but it seems that his mom doesn’t like his idea. He has a hard time living with his mom’s thought. She asks Ross to be an engineer at a computer company in the future, and she thinks being an artist might not become a good job to make a living on. Besides, Ross is too young to make decisions about his future. In fact, Ross has a talent in art and is good at creating beautiful things with his hands. But his mom doesn’t know about this.

However, Ross’s classmate, Ann, is luckier than him. Ann’s parents respect her decision as long as she thinks carefully. They think that if teenagers make their own decisions, they learn to be responsible for themselves. They believe that giving some space to children to decide what they want to do is also a lesson in parents’ life.
