A Case Study of Management System Productivity for Chemical Fiber Industry Using Data Envelopment Analysis

ABSTRACT
Based on assessment of the productivity, this study made an analysis of the management pattern of a chemical fiber industry. By defining the niche of input and output of the management system of the industry, the researcher examined the assessment indicator of input and output of the management system. Meanwhile, the researcher calculated the relative weight of each of the
sub-structures and the assessment indicator with AnalyticHierarchy Process (AHP). Finally, the progress pattern of indicator of the main structure was assessed with Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The sample in this study was a chemical fiber industry in Central Taiwan, whose management system’s efficacy was assessed and evaluated. Quantitative data were analyzed and suggestions were provided accordingly. Furthermore, the results favored the pattern of productivity management system that was proposed in the study.
