A Study on the Buying Behavior of Sports shoes

by Students from Different Colleges of National

Cheng Kung University

Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to discuss and compare the behaviors of students from different colleges of liberal arts, science, engineering, management and medicine in the purchase of sports shoes in terms of knowledge, information, evalution principle, purchase policy and after-purchase.

A total of I, 427 students from both day and night divisions of National cheng Kung University have been seleccted as the subjects in the questionaire survey of this study. Through discussions and comparisions by means of per-centage, mean, factor analysis, chi-square test and two-way variation analysis, the results are as follows:

!.The students ofNational Vheng Kung University buy sports shoes mainly for the sake of sports. They collect information from experience and consider foot fitness as their first principle in their choice of sports shoes. In general, shoes of the Nike brand enjoys the greatest popularity.

2.Comparison

(I) There are no significant differences in knowledge between students from different colleges.
