Lately, there have been many fires in California, USA. So far, about 1500 homes were burned down, seven people were killed, and 85 were hurt by the fires. There were more than twelve fires: some were put out, some controlled, and a few others will be burning. The fires were started by fallen power-lines, a truck accident, and even by arsonists. The hot and dry weather and the strong winds made them harder to stop.

There are now over 6000 firefighters fighting the fires along with soldiers and other people. The fires have burned for more than a week, but the bigger ones will be controlled in 9-10 days. However, a lot of damage has already been done. Many are left without power, water, money, or even their homes. This will be a lesson California never forgets. People there will pay a lot more attention to fire problems in the future.
