糖尿病新聞報導之內容分析
糖尿病是目前國內普遍的慢性疾病之一，其受重視的情形愈來愈明顯，因此
本研究之目的在針對報紙媒體糖尿病相關報導之報導量、訊息內容以及訊息 的呈現方式與型態，同時也對報刊和年份間的差異作進一步的分析。
研究的對象是為中國時報、民生報及聯合報於 2000 年至 2002 年中有關糖尿 病相關的新聞報導，共 414 則，藉由內容分析法配合量化分析，採用的統計 方法有描述性分析及卡方檢定。
研究結果顯示民生報的報導則數佔有最高的百分比，為 37.68% ，中國時報次 之 32.85% ，聯合報最少 29.47% 。在消息來源的方面，醫師是最常見的資訊 提供者，比例高達 58.21% ，而記者（ 49.76% ）和醫師（ 27.78% ）是最常見 的作者，三報所報導關於糖尿病的主題之分布無太大的變化，主要相關議題 為糖尿病之併發症、糖尿病之新發現及糖尿病之飲食。針對於訊息訴求方式 的變項中，以無訴求 (49.28%) ，即以事實呈現的方式最多，而於新聞報導中
，最常見的訴求方式是建議訴求 (28.74%) ，傳播方式的分析結果，發現超過 半數是以純新聞為主要傳播方式，佔 58.45% ，其次為專欄 (22.95%) 及專家 資訊 (13.04%) 。
多多增加有關於預防糖尿病的知識、資訊，而非專注於罹病後的相關議題，
建議未來的相關報導，應多加入其他消息來源的資訊，提供不同面向及領域 的想法及意見，給予讀者更多元的訊息內容以及更充分的資訊，規劃以專欄 的方式來呈現，因此可以增加民眾的吸引力及注意力。
A Content Analysis of News Coverage on Diabetes
Objective: Diabetes is one of the most common chronic diseases in Taiwan, and ha d received more attention from the public.The purpose of this study to investigate t he amount and content of articles concern diabetes in newspaper media.
Methods: Content analysis was performed on articles collected from Min Sheng Da ily (MSD), China Times (CT), and United Daily News (UDN) from 2000 to 2002.
All articles with diabetes as part of its content were down loaded. The Final sample for analysis was 414.
Results: Of all the articles, MSD, CT and UDN each make up 37.68%, 32.58% and 29.47%. Physicians were the most majority source of information (58.21%). About 49.76% of articles were written by medical correspondents or by doctors themselve s. Complications and diets were the most common theme of the articles. Most articl es contained no prominent contention (49.28%), and 58.45% of them were presente d as a news.
Conclusions: Articles should emphasis more on prevention rather then complicatio ns and diets. A more diverse source of information, rather then just from physician would be helpful for the reader to obtain a more comprehensive knowledge of diab etes. Then articles should print in the news column, so they are more likely to attrac t reader’s attention.
