VISITOR ARRIVALS The number of visitor arrivals reached 2,265,930 in September 2007, representing a year-on-year increase of 29.6%. Visitors from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, China registered growth of 33.2%, 22.9% and 3.6% respectively. Meanwhile, same-day visitors accounted for 51.2% of the total arrivals, at 1,160,207.

Among the Mainland visitors, 40.3% travelled to Macao under the Individual Visit Scheme, at 492,057.

In the first nine months of 2007, visitor arrivals reached 19,496,013, up by 22.6% over the same period of last year. Same-day visitors made up 52.2% of the total, at 10,172,701.

Visitor arrivals by sea increased by 16.1% to 6,500,440 over the first nine months of 2006. Meanwhile, arrivals by land grew by 27.0% to 11,936,885 and arrivals by air rose by 17.7% to 1,058,688.
