Through philosophical thinking, the students may be able to understand their place in this ever changing environment, develop harmonious relationship with God, humans, things and oneself and employing multiple thinking, problem-solving, reflection and communication methods establish personal philosophy of life which reflects one’s respect for God and love for others.

學習規範

This course is different from your professional courses. This course is designed to provide you with opportunity and time to think, reflect and discuss on issues related to one's life, relationships and the society. So it is necessary to participate actively in the class to gain from this course.

Some of the issues discussed in the class and the videos viewed during this course may make some of you uncomfortable. Please let the

instructor know about it and you will be warned before the disturbing videos are screened in class.

The following class rules are suggested to make sure that we have a conducive environment for learning:

1. Please be on time for class. Coming late and leaving early is highly disruptive behavior.

2. It is expected that you give full attention to the teacher and your colleagues during the class hours. So please do not sleep, use any electronic devices, reading for other classes and eating in the class.

3. Please respect the instructor and others in the class and do not disrupt the class by talking.

The class rules will be decided after discussion with the students at the first meeting.
