第五章 助動詞偏誤分析與教學應用
6.2 研究限制與展望
本文受時間與篇幅限制，我們提出研究幾點可供未來研究者思考並提 出修正。
首先，本文僅比較英語和漢語的助動詞範疇，並未考慮其他語言類型 的現象，比如日語、韓語等，因此在跨語言的研究層面上較窄。
其次，我們並未完全界定漢語的副詞，同時也未討論助動詞與副詞互 動的關係，比如黃主俠 (1998) 也提及「再」與「又」和助動詞之間位置 的相對關係，是否在深層語義上，修飾的範圍不同，牽動表層結構的位置 上的不同？
第三，我們利用「否定」的標準界定能願助動詞中的典型，但為何助 動詞內部成員產生肯定與否定的對稱與不對稱，是否同類助動詞之間在範 圍上是並立關係還是包孕關係？

第四，Fillmore (1975) 的情態成分中包括否定 (negation)、時制 (tense)、
語氣 (mood) 和時態 (aspect)，但我們存疑的是這幾個成分之間是否存在 功能上修飾的層次關係？
第五，限於篇幅，我們並未能做到每個助動詞成員之間系統內與系統 外的在教學上的排序，在應用上未竟全功。
筆者在撰寫、修改論文的過程中，一直不斷修正自己的論文與思考方 向，特別是在情態系統的分類上時的感觸特別深，同時便讀到了 Heine (1993)《助動詞—認知力量與語法化》(Auxiliaries—Cognitive Forces and Grammaticalization) 一書中引 Croft (1990: 257) 的一句話：
「Language don’t change; People change language. 」 (語言不變化；人類改變語言)
語言分析仍然迴避不了與人類的認知心智有關，本文僅為學習心得與 歷程紀錄，盼起拋磚引玉之效，也希望往後有興趣者進行更深入且全面的 研究。

的修飾詞類，究竟是要走詞類方向，還是要走語類的方向？如果走語類的 方向，現行的語類分類，如：主語、謂語、賓語、定語、狀語、補語之間 的定義是什麼？與Halliday 的系統功能比起來，是否有嚴謹的系統性？
語法化提倡的是一個動態的過程，在一個等級 (scale) 尺度上變動，
這樣的概念從語言學的角度來看，解釋力很強，但我們怎麼判斷某一個語 法現象在語法化過程中的等級為何？80%或是 50%該如何判斷？判斷的標 準為何？另外，如此的概念應用在語言教學上的廣度有多少？我們如何進 行語言學與語言教學之間的微調？這都是很有意思的問題。
最後在文中我們也提到了部分類型學的概念，現代英語和漢語究竟屬 於何種類型的語言？古代英語和漢語呢？我們如何判斷現代和過去的英語 和漢語屬於什麼類型的語言？類型學的研究方法是什麼？提供的數據與論 述的可信度有多少？也都是我們關切的範圍。
這篇不成熟的論文是從一年級鄧守信老師漢語語法學課的報告發展而 來，當初只是對助動詞一類的合法度存疑，沒想到觸及的問題如此之多，
也是始料未及。後記中提到的問題，或許已有許多豐碩的研究成果，才疏 學淺之處，盼見諒。
