第五章 結論與建議

第三節 研究限制與建議

本研究提出以下研究限制:

首先,本研究以台灣 IC 產業為主要研究對象,以窺見此產業內外創新投入、

創新產出及經營績效的全貌,探討企業創新活動在經營績效上表現,由於時間及 資料庫整合的限制,使本研究僅建立 66 家廠商資料庫,後續研究可以增加樣本數 及研究期間,另外,此產業特性特殊,如研發金額龐大、產業內上游 IC 設計業、

中 IC 製造業及下游 IC 封裝和測試業專業分工、產品生命週期短及產品價格快速 下降等,其他產業特性不同,研究結果是否類推,需進一步分析比較。

其次,在外部創新投入部分資料以公司公告之年報資料及在公開資訊網站上 公告之訊息或者公司網站上之訊息,在資料蒐集上以此為範圍,有限制,無法得 知與外部合作夥伴間合作的更進一步之內容,如在策略聯盟部分,是與同業合作 或者是與上、下游廠商合作,若透過問卷方式或專家訪談可取得更詳細之資料將 有利於資料分析。

再者,在本研究經營績效研究期間包含 2008 年至 2009 年金融風暴,在此期 間中企業績效普遍不佳,會造成研究結果存在誤差,為研究限制,若排除此期間,

是否可推得相同研究結果,需再檢驗。

最後,創新產出部分,本研究係以專利權數及專利權引證數為代理,而企業 另兩項創新產出即新產品開發及新製程開發,未納入考量,若將此兩者納入考量 更可看出企業創新活動與企業經營績效間關係。

根據上述研究限制,提出以下對後續研究建議的部分,以供參考。

首先,本研究在外部創新投入部分主要分為三個部分:業界技術授權、策略 聯盟即研發合作、技術合作及研發與技術合作、學術與研究機構的合作次數為代 理變數,發現其與經營績效間關係並不顯著,建議後續研究可朝向以同業、顧客、

供應商、大學及研究機構等合作對象為代理變數,進一步分析是否會增加公司經 營績效。

次之,針對專利權引證數不論是在台灣或在美國,其衡量係以每一專利權,

其被後續引證的次數為主,分別蒐集後,再加總台灣及美國為台灣及美國專利權

引證數,所得之結果為專利權引證數對於經營績效是正向關係,然此引證數並未 排除自我引證部分,即公司引用自己的專利的部分,若將其自專利權引證數排除,

是否會產生不同之結果,需進一步檢驗,建議可排除自我引證部分。

最後,在探討創新投入在經營績效上表現,若加以技術發展過程,可更進一 步解釋內部創新投入與經營績效間非線性關係,建議未來研究可加入技術發展過 程,更清楚了解創新投入與經營績效間關係。
