第三節 研究限制與後續研究建議
本研究針對探討 Facebook 使用者的涉入程度對社會支持、社會比較及幸福 感的影響中力求嚴謹完善,但仍存在研究限制。首先,針對母體的抽樣方面,由 於時空限制,本研究樣本結構大部分以台灣地區使用者為主,無法對其他國家的 Facebook 使用者進行抽樣,因此本研究所得結果可能受到台灣文化及國人性格 影響,導致研究結論僅能適用於台灣的 Facebook 使用者,不足以代表全球不同 國家 Facebook 使用者。
而根據本研究不足之處,提出未來後續研究建議,茲說明如下:
(一)針對不同國家的 Facebook 使用者進行抽樣
本研究結果僅代表台灣的 Facebook 使用者,因此研究結論可能會受到東方 文化及性格影響而不足以適用於全球 Facebook 使用者,在不同國家及文化下,
人們的社會比較行為及心態也會有不同的差異,未來研究者可嘗試針對在不同國 家的 Facebook 使用者進行母體抽樣,再和台灣 Facebook 使用者進行比較,視其 社會比較對幸福感影響是否有差異。
(二)以不同的社群網站、程式使用者做為研究對象
本研究僅以 Facebook 使用者之涉入程度為自變項,未來研究者可嘗試以不 同的社群網站、程式使用者做為研究對象,例如微博、Twitter、Instagram 等使 用者進行研究,端看在不同的社群網站、程式下,是否同樣有社會比較行為。
(三)使用不同變數作為干擾變項
本研究以自尊作為干擾變項,但在相同的架構下,未來研究者可嘗試使用不 同類型的干擾變項進行研究,如網路黏著度(Stickiness)等變數。Maciag(2000)
對黏著度的定義是能夠讓使用者持續地回流網站瀏覽,讓使用者再次回來並且瀏 覽時間更持久。探討 Facebook 使用者的社會比較在網路黏著度高下,對本身的 幸福感是否有影響。
(四)情緒評估
本研究幸福感的衡量,是以“使用臉書後”整體而言的情緒,是一個長期使用 的評估,在這段時間內,有正面情緒也會有負面情緒。未來研究者可依據不同的 時間點,探討正負向情緒關係。
(五)社會比較負面影響之實務意涵
當社會比較增加時,正向與負向的社會比較也會同時增加,而本研究針對社 會比較其實務意涵以正向社會比較為主,對負向社會比較較無進行探討,未來研 究者可依據社會比較的負面影響來探討相關實務運用。
