本研究發現退休中老年人幸福感重要預測因子包括家庭關係、經 濟狀況、生命統整性與健康狀況,正向環境具有透過正向特質來影響 正向情緒之間接作用。其中家庭關係在退休中老年人的幸福感具有最 大的影響力,可見得家庭正向環境的營造是提升退休中老年人幸福感 的良好著力點。

根據前述之研究發現與討論,研究者提出以下建議,提供退休中 老年人、政府相關單位與未來研究者參考:

一、 對退休中老年人的建議

由於本研究發現家庭關係越好者幸福感越佳,具有較高程度的生 命統整性特質者幸福感也越佳。因而針對上述結論,研究者給予退休 中老年人以下建議:

(一) 學習與家人的良好溝通與互動,建立友善的家庭關係,有助於 幸福感的提升。

在研究中,家庭關係是幸福感最重要的預測因子,家庭關係越良 好,其幸福感也越佳。可見得良好的家庭關係,包括家人之間的相互 瞭解、家人相處的融洽、家人互動頻繁對退休中老年人的幸福感來說

是相當重要的,我們欲提升退休中老年人的幸福感可由建立良好的家 庭關係著手,增加退休中老年人與家人的聯繫,並鼓勵退休中老年人 多與家人分享自己的生活,使家人也能瞭解長輩們的生活狀況,當然 這些需要家人們的共同努力經營,才能擁有良好的家庭關係。退休中 老年人所需要的莫過於子女兒孫們的問候與關懷。建立家人良好的互 動需要雙方共同努力經營才能擁有,溝通管道的建立有助於退休中老 年人表達自己的意見與想法,建立更親密的關係,提升退休中老年人 的社會支持網絡。這份來自親人的歸屬感與安全感能使退休中老年人 的幸福感提升許多。

(二) 培養生命統整性特質,提升幸福感。

研究發現退休中老年人的生命統整性特質越好,幸福感也越佳。

可見得生命統整性對於生命意義的理解,可使退休中老年人更懂得領 略生命意義的重要,對於人生晚年亦能積極看待,持續發揮生命的功 能。因而研究者建議退休中老年人可針對本身特質,找出能夠激發自 身生命統整性特質的途徑,以提高幸福感受。

二、 對政府相關機構的建議

為使能因應高齡化所帶來的衝擊,促進退休中老年人的心理健 康,使其能維持積極的生活態度,進而邁向成功老化,繼續發揮高齡

者的生命潛能。而要使退休中老年人能夠成功老化,減少醫療成本、

持續發揮長者生命潛能,站在此一立場,需要從家庭政策宣導對退休 中老年人的重視,並使相關單位舉辦高齡者的家庭活動,使長者能夠 加強與其與家人的互動與瞭解,以提升退休中老年人之幸福感。另外,

亦可提供退休生涯規劃諮詢,協助退休者面對退休後生活的轉變。而 針對獨居、非已婚者,更要加強他們與社會網絡的連結,建立情感支 持系統,改從社區組織給予他們正向環境。透過多與不同的群體交流 來認識自己,藉此修正或調整自己的價值觀,培養生命統整性特質。

建立志工制度,依照每個人不同的特性,繼續發揮其所長,找回長者 生活的重心與相信自己能是有所用處的,亦提高社會大眾對於長者的 尊重,如此一來長者的幸福感自然也就能隨之提高。

三、 未來研究者的建議

本研究關注於退休中老年人的背景變項、健康狀態、正向環境、

生命統整性對幸福感的影響,在此針對研究之研究限制,提供以下改 進要點作為未來後續研究之參考:

(一) 研究對象

本研究之研究對象皆為外出參與活動或公園、捷運與寺廟周圍所 遇到的民眾,建議未來研究可增加對不外出參與活動或不健康的族群

進行研究。

(二) 研究變項方面

影響退休中老年人幸福感的因素眾多,本研究僅就研究者所關心 之變項來探討,可能尚有不夠周延之處。建議於研究廣度方面可再針 對退休中老年人的其他正向特質做相關延伸之研究。

(三) 研究方法方面

本研究為橫斷式研究,採問卷調查法進行,為使能進一步瞭解正 向環境、正向特質與幸福感的因果關係,可由縱貫性研究做進一步的 調查。

退休中老年人主要的支持網絡來自於家庭,家庭關係深深影響了 退休中老年人的幸福感;然而對於年輕世代盛行的不婚主義或頂客 族,未來亦可研究家庭關係對幸福感的影響是否具有世代效應、或是 為退休中老年人族群生活重心移轉回家庭的影響,可比較其與同年齡 層未退休者幸福感的差異。

本研究發現退休中老年人幸福感的預測因子為家庭關係、經濟狀 況、生命統整性與健康狀態,家庭關係與生命統整性皆是可著力去改 善以提升幸福感的,值得深思的是,家庭關係同時亦是無力去改變的 因素,像是對於獨居者而言,他們無法從家庭獲得關係性情感資源,

因此需要改由從友誼獲得情感支持。除此之外,因為生命統整性具有 緩衝正向環境不良所造成影響的作用,更需要重視培養生命統整性等 正向特質。

本研究僅就退休中老年人之幸福感做調查,或許仍無法探索退休 中老年人幸福感受的全貌,但希冀透過本研究能為未來提升退休中老 年人幸福感提供一份具體的數據說明,幫助退休中老年人思索自身現 況與幸福的意義,即已達成研究者進行此研究之重要目的。
