Title

Body, Power and Identity: The Reality and Fabrication of Body in Chinese Culture-Medicine, Healing Arts and Politics: Medical Literature and Political Culture in Ancient China

Abstract

This project tries to study how did the discourses of medicine and narrtives of medical stories interact with the change of political history in ancient China and so that we can identify certain major factors which might help to shape the characteristcs of traditional Chinese medicine. Because most of literary materials of ancient China were interwoven by fabricated fables and historical records, and usually, their authors or editors had something to say between the lines, that‟s why the format, content and dialogic context share equal values when we try to analyze the meanings and implications of those extant texts about discourses of medicine and narrtives of medical stories in ancient China. This study shows those who had involved with writing or editing these literary materials always have certain socio-political concerns in their mind. So both discourses of medicine and narrtives of medical stories of ancient China were more a kind of political proposition than a purely technical manual of medicine.

計畫編號 NSC 96-2411-H-004-012-MY2 計畫名稱身體、權力與認同：中國文化中「身體」的實際與虛構——醫學、醫療與政治：古代中國的醫療文獻與政治文化出國人員姓名服務機關與職稱國立政治大學歷史學系助理教授出國時間地點 2009 年 7 月 10 日至 2009 年 7 月 25 日赴日本東京地區國外研究機構日本國立國會圖書館、東京大學、東洋文庫工作紀要此次前往日本東京地區，主要在蒐集國內未見，而與本研究計畫相關的史料與研究論著。自 2009 年 7 月 10 日週五上午啟程，下午進駐東京上野區，至 2009 年 7 月 25 日週六下午返台，前後計共 16 天 15 夜。以下為各日活動行程及相關收穫。 2009 年 7 月 10 日週五上午自桃園機場啟程赴東京。 2009 年 7 月 11 日週六至 2009 年 7 月 19 日週日，分別赴東京大學總合圖書館、東洋文化研究所圖書館、文學部圖書館、醫學圖書館，及東洋文庫影印國內未見之史料及期刊論文。 2009 年 7 月 20 日週一至 2009 年 7 月 24 日週五，赴國立國會圖書館影印《難經古注集成》六冊等國內未見之相關史料。 2009 年 7 月 25 日週六下午自成田機場啟程返台。

一、參加會議經過

此次前往中國雲南省麗江古城參與亞洲醫學史學會第四屆學術年會——「跨越階級與族群的醫療史」——，主要發表〈古步識小〉一文之研究構想。自台北時間 2008 年 11 月 3 日週一上午啟程，至 2008 年 11 月 8 日週六晚間抵台，前後計共 6 天 5 夜。亞洲醫學史學會第四屆學術年會計有來自台灣、中國、日本港之學者與研究生共近五十名參與。會議期間除由主辦單位亞洲醫學史學會於 11 月 6 日安排至雲南省麗江古城左近參觀白沙壁畫及東巴王國相關遺址外，11 月 4-5 日計共安排論文報告及研討會 40 餘場，討論內容以東亞地區之醫療交流歷史為主軸。由於同一時間內分為兩個場地進行報告與討論，因此只得擇其要者參與其中一場。以下，即為個人各日活動行程及相關收穫。 2008 年 11 月 3 日傍晚 5 點前抵達會議地點中國雲南省麗江古

城附近之束河古鎮，並辦理報到。 2008 年 11 月 4 日 8:00-9:00 早餐 9:00-9:40 開幕儀式暨頒發谷口醫療史論文獎由中國科學院自然科學史研究所所長廖育群教授主持，亞洲醫學史學會會長酒井靜教授致詞並頒獎。

這屆的獲獎人是印度籍的博士研究生 Mr. Rohan Deb Roy (Doctoral Candidate, Wellcome Trust Centre for the History of Medicine at University College London )，論文題目是：An Unseen, Awful Visitant’: The Making of Burdwan Fever，這篇論文主要討論印度地區殖民醫學的發展，據信將對殖民醫學的相關研究具有突破性的啟發。

此外，這屆亞洲醫學史學會也就日本青年學者 Mr. Teruyuki KUBO (Doctoral Candidate, the Institute for the History of Natural Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing) 所提 The Identification Problem of Mudan 牡丹 in the Early Chinese Herbals 論文提出表揚，以彰顯其貢獻。 10:00-12:00 學術研討會（1）由中國中醫科學院中國醫史文獻研究所所長朱建平教授主持會中首先由中國北京中醫藥大學醫史教研室研究員梁永宣教授報告〈日朝醫學筆談資料研究〉，討論江戶時期日本與朝鮮間以筆談形式進行的醫學交流。其次，由日本國立茨城大學人文學部的真柳誠教授報告〈楊守敬的醫書校刊及江戶考證醫學家的文獻研究〉，討論十九世紀下半葉楊守敬自日本購入多種日本善本醫籍及漢方醫研究著作的具體情況。第三，由中國北京大學東方文學研究中心陳明教授報告〈從古希臘到江戶時代的日本：一個跨越時空的藥方「四物荅兒牙吉」

第三，由北京中醫藥大學基礎醫學院中醫診斷系梁嶸教授報告〈清末江南醫療文化管窺：《王孟英醫案》中的誤治醫案分析〉，討論清末強調溫補治療風氣下，名醫王孟英如何診治誤治之病的經過。 2008 年 11 月 5 日 8:00-9:00 早餐 9:00-10:30 學術研討會（4）由中國廣西民族大學科學技術與社會發展研究中心容志毅教授主持首先，由中國北京大學歷史學系研究生陳昊報告〈刊之岩石、傳以救病：龍門石刻藥方與題記所見唐代初期方藥知識在階層與地域之間的流動〉，以知識流動的概念討論龍門石刻藥方的傳遞形式。其次，由中國廣州中醫藥大學研究生梁茼報告〈晉隋之際術數與醫學著作中五行學說的演變〉，討論晉隋之間五行學說的演變。第三，由中國清華大學人文社會科學學院科學技術與社會研究所劉兵教授報告〈「坐月子」與性別論述〉，討論「坐月子」的知識與性別的關係。二、與會心得此次參與亞洲醫學史學會第四屆學術年會有以下兩點主要心得：（一）、日、中學者中年長一輩多具中醫背景，而以文本研究與醫學操作為主要研究對象。與上一輩之學者較為不同，日、中與印度青年學者或研究生不但已有若干人文學科背景的學者參與，討論的課題與研究的取徑也比較能夠參考歐美或台灣的研究成果，值得日後持續觀察與參考。（二）、這次會議的議題以「跨文化」為主軸，對以東亞為視
