Family Life Satisfaction in Dual-earner Family
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study aims to understand femail parenting stress and family life satifaction in dual-earner family under different background variables. This study used questionnaire method. The studied objects were the mothers of dual-earner family who had the children of primary school in Kaohsiung City. Stratified sampling was adopted. The effective samples are 461 in total. According to the results of the questionnaire, the following conclusions are gained by handling data and analyzing method of descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way variance of analysis, Pearson’s product moment correlation, and regression.
Conclusions and drawn as follows
1. The parenting stress of the women of dual-earner family is above average. Among the social isolation is the highest. Mothers felt mostly the stress of education environment in the future
2. The family life satisfaction of dual-earner family is above average. Among the satisfaction of family lesiure is the highest.
3. The highter of education degree, the lower of parenting stress. The offical public career of the couples felt lower parenting stress. The chief of career women and whose normal work-time are the same.
4. The senior career women, the higher of education degree, the couples whose offical public workers belong to the better of family life satisfaction. The item of family economic is obviously effect.
5. The relation of parenting stress and family life satisfaction social display negative correlation
6. The parenting stress of the women of dual-earner family could explain the family life satisfaction effectively, obviously in discipline frustration which reprent the greatest prediction influence.
In the end, the author provided relevant suggestions based on the conclusions for the female of dual-earner family, governmental agency, and future researchers to make a reference.
