The index of Industrial Production for the second quarter of 2019 increased by 41.4% quarter-to-quarter to 108.0, attributable to an upsurge of 162.6% in the production index of Electricity , Gas & Water Supply (82.2), with the production index of Electricity soaring by 260.3%.
Production index of the Manufacturing Sector (145.3) increased by 2.8% over the previous quarter, with the indices of Manufacture of Wearing Apparel and Manufacture of Textiles rising by 62.5% and 50.0% respectively; meanwhile, the index of Manufacturing not elsewhere classified dropped by 9.8%.
