EXTERNAL MERCHANDISE TRADE STATISTICS APRIL 2014
Merchandise export and import amounted to MOP836 million and MOP7.35 billion respectively, up by 16% and 13% year-on-year.
Merchandise trade deficit totalled MOP6.51 billion.
In the first four months of 2014, merchandise export increased by 8% year-on-year to MOP3.32 billion, of which re-exports rose by 11% but domestic exports declined by 2%; merchandise import grew by 16% to MOP29.20 billion. External merchandise trade increased by 16%
year-on-year to MOP32.52 billion. Merchandise trade deficit widened further to MOP25.88 billion.
