課程學習目標

To help our department Freshmen to be able to think in English

study in English

communicate effectively with teachers and peers in English 1. Students will be given instruction about certain pronunciation problems, and how to correct those problems in order that they may conduct discussions in English with confidence so that they feel comfortable learning in the English-only environment at Fu Jen.

2. Students will learn how to ask for information, get around, and help international friends on campus in English

3. Students should be able to write e-mail messages to teachers in both

proper English and proper format on the following topics.

a. to ask for leave

b. to ask teachers questions about various subjects c. to ask teachers to write recommendation letters

d. to send feedback suggestions to teachers about the following course-related student-teacher evaluation problems

1) how a class is structured (organized) 2) time management

when teachers are available how they may be contacted

the amount of time necessary to complete a written assignment

a reading assignment

3) the work load of a particular course 4) grading policy
