“Why can’t drinks be alcoholic or non-alcoholic?” asked one frustrated mother. As drinks containing a small amount of alcohol become more popular on the market, parents are worried that their children might be consuming more alcohol than they’d like them to.

Though the alcohol concentration in Beer-Flavored Green Tea doesn’t exceed 0.5% for it to be

consuming a certain amount. And because such drinks are considered “non-alcoholic,” they are even sold in some schools.Companies can now be fined NT$50,000 to NT$200,000 if their product labeling fails to clarify whether a drink is alcoholic or not.
