EXTERNAL MERCHANDISE TRADE STATISTICS DECEMBER 2014
− Merchandise export and import amounted to MOP984 million and MOP8.99 billion respectively, up by 7.0% and 10.3% year-on-year.
Merchandise trade deficit totalled MOP8.01 billion.
− In the fourth quarter, merchandise export and import totalled MOP2.63 billion and MOP25.10 billion, up by 11.3% e 10.8% respectively year-on-year, resulting in a trade deficit of MOP22.47 billion.
− For the whole year of 2014, merchandise export increased by 9.0% year-on-year to MOP9.91 billion, of which re-exports rose by 11.4% and domestic exports grew slightly by 0.7%; merchandise import expanded by 11.0% to MOP89.95 billion. External merchandise trade increased by 10.8% year-on-year to MOP99.87 billion. Merchandise trade deficit reached MOP80.04 billion.
