5.3 研究限制

本研究以製造業服務化為研究主軸,探討企業在具備製造能力上的優勢之後,如 何依循服務導向服務化及產品導向服務化的方式轉型,並分析該個案公司轉型過 程中的外部環境因素及內部組織策略的配合。

然而得以產生服務化現象或需求之企業,且具備優越的製造優勢,甚至產生多核 心的製造技術或產並,進而開始橫向整合成為提供整體服務的製造商,在產業中 並不常見。不但經營卓越且轉型成功的個案企業來源難以取得,而且該類研究必 須細微到該公司內部的組織策略及核心能耐,也必須廣大到探討整個產業之間的 相互競爭及影響,並親訪該企業的核心經營者求得第一手的資料及經營心法等。

因研究的範圍廣大且來源有限,僅能各以一個代表性的個案公司呈現研究結果,

難免造成偏頗或是佐證之證據不足的現象,也因部份個案公司歷史悠久,歷經多 次政治考量上的轉換及合併,使得早期的決策資訊不可考,也使得部分轉型過程 較難以用理論去推敲。

5.4 後續研究

除了重工業及半導體產業之外,有許多經典的案例及產業適合探討製造業服務化 的過程,若未來的研究能加入地區別、文化別或是產業別等個案的比較,將能使 該研究之結論更廣泛的套用到各式製造業之上,對於製造業轉型服務化的過程及 策略抉擇能有更清晰的策略路徑呈現。
