(19) @)*+,-. Abstract The purpose of this experimental study is to investigate if the issues-centered approach will promote students’ attitudes of civic participation. The subjects for this study were 155 11th grade students of Taipei Hei Sun Senior High School. The experimental group was taken five issues-centered civic units, while the control group did not receive any treatment. The result can not support the research hypothesis that the issues-centered approach had significant effects on students’ attitudes of civic participation.
