A Study of Leisure Activities of Elementary School Teachers in Taichung City 王顧安、施能仁

ABSTRACT
With the educational reform, elementary school teachers had to face the change of education system and superior inspection. Lack of children and social enviroment changes derivate the pressure of teachers. They have to advancing teaching quality and taking care different individual student. That’s a invisible crisis for education when the teachers cannot release their pres-sure with leisure participating. The research probed into the teacher job pressure and leisure participation by happiness. Findings of this study are described as follows: (1)Different demographic background of Taichung City elementary school teachers feel the pressure of work and leisure activities, participation in frequency up to a positive correlation of the significant difference. (2)Job pressure and
happiness take on partly negative relationship. (3)Leisure participation and happiness take on partly positive re-lationship and partly negative relationship. So, the ministry of education should provide more equipment of working out and exercising for teachers and arrange sufficient teachers for each elementary school.
