EXTERNAL MERCHANDISE TRADE STATISTICS
NOVEMBER 2017
- Merchandise export and import amounted to MOP1.00 billion and MOP7.57 billion respectively, up by 26.0% and 11.3% year-on-year. Merchandise trade deficit totalled MOP6.57 billion.
- In the first eleven months of 2017, merchandise export rose by 11.7% year-on-year, of which re-exports increased by 16.9% but domestic exports decreased by 10.0%; meanwhile, merchandise import grew by 5.3%. External merchandise trade went up by 6.1% year-on-year to MOP78.36 billion. Merchandise trade deficit widened further to MOP57.60 billion.
- Merchandise export to Mainland China grew by 21.5% year-on-year to MOP1.96 billion in the first eleven months of 2017, of which exports to the nine provinces of the Pan Pearl River Delta (MOP1.75 billion) rose by 14.8%. Analysed by place of consignment, merchandise import from Mainland China slid by 1.3% year-on-year to MOP10.91 billion, of which imports from the nine provinces of the Pan Pearl River Delta (MOP10.39 billion) fell by 0.2%.
