This course is to help students establish a common understanding of the major theories of psychotherapy. This course is also designed to educate students on the roles that clinical psychologists in Taiwan may play in clinical contexts. The instructor will demonstrate helping skills frequently used by therapists specializing in different approaches. In addition, six experienced clinical psychologists will be invited as guest speakers to lecture for students on topics related to the use of modern psychotherapy. Issues resulting from cross- cultural factors will also be covered in this course.
