A Study on Leisure Participation, Job Stress, and Life Satisfaction among Indonesian Domestic Workers in Taiwan

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to explore the relationships among Indonesian domestic workers’ leisure participation, job stress, and life satisfaction with purposive sampling and snowball sampling methods to conduct a questionnaires survey of 335 valid samples.
The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent two samples t-test, one-way ANOVA analysis, and Pearson product moment correlation analysis. The result of this study showed: 1.Indonesian domestic workers with different age, education, working period, days-off, willingness to work overtime, work time, monthly leisure cost, with or without relatives in Taiwan has significant differences in leisure participation. 2.Indonesian domestic workers with different age, marriage, education, working period, days-off, willingness to work overtime, work time, monthly leisure cost, with or without relatives in Taiwan, if or if not living with boss has significant differences in job stress. 3.Indonesian domestic workers with different age, education, working period, days-off, willingness to work overtime, monthly leisure cost, with or without relatives in Taiwan, if or if not living with boss has significant differences in life satisfaction. 4.Leisure participation and job stress has a significant positive correlation. 5.Job stress and life satisfaction has a significant correlation.. 6.Leisure participation and life satisfaction has a significant positive correlation.
