EXTERNAL MERCHANDISE TRADE STATISTICS JANUARY 2016

 Merchandise export increased by 1.5% year-on-year to MOP973 million, of which re-exports (MOP834 million) rose by 8.4% but domestic exports (MOP139 million) fell by 26.2%.

 Merchandise import amounted to MOP6.96 billion, down by 18.5% year-on-year.

 External merchandise trade decreased by 16.5% year-on-year to MOP7.93 billion. Merchandise trade deficit totalled MOP5.98 billion.
