第二節 應用與建議
由於本研究採橫斷式研究設計，目的在瞭解人口學特性、社會參與 頻率、社會參與、憂鬱症狀與活躍老化之相關性，但不包括釐清變項間 時序性。因此，本研究結果不能作為因果關係之推論。建議未來研究可 以前瞻性研究設計或介入性研究設計，進一步釐清社會參與情形與中高 齡者憂鬱症狀及活躍老化之因果關係。
本研究採立意取樣，中高齡者為 45 歲之中壯年，尚有多數仍在職場 工作，本次研究對象有近五成為 60 歲以上族群，而又有近六成是女性 朋友，研究樣本之人口學特性、健康狀況較無法分析出與男性是否有差 異，而本次研究區域屬臺北市都會區，與全國、都會及農村社區老人之 樣本不完全相同，不適宜直接將本研究結果推論至全國或所有中高齡族 群。但本研究以社會參與之頻率、社會參與項目面向與活躍老化之研究 結果，仍可作為未來探討社區中高齡者社會參與情形、憂鬱症狀與活躍 老相關性之參考。
本次研究對象女性有 244 人（60％），男性 163 人（40%），與大 安區參與社區活動民眾之健康行為調查分析，參與社區活動民眾特性，
性別方面以女性佔 67.0%，男性佔 33.0%（楊逸菊等，2009）相當。依 2007 年「台灣中老人身心社會生活狀況長期追蹤調查」顯示，老年女性 自述罹患慢性病的比率高於男性，惟 65 歲以老年人主要死亡原因統計，

所有死亡原因（惡性腫瘤、慢性病），男性為女性的 1.4 倍。相關單位在 推動健促進活動，如何鼓勵男性參與社區健康行為活動是值得思考的。
本研究在社會參與頻率定義以週為單位，造成分析結果統計偏於偶 而或較少態樣，無法作適宜的比較。因此，建議未來有相關研究探討時，
參與頻率可修正為月或季。但本研究測量結果顯示，「社會參與頻率」
與「社會參與」、「活躍老化」呈顯著正相關（p<.01），因此，仍可作 為相關社區中高齡者社會參與、憂鬱症狀及活躍老化間之相關性探討參 考。
研究結果中高齡者每週參與休閒活動之頻率最高，其次是參與學習 活動，再者為參與志願性服務，平均值在 3 以上，而宗教活動較低於 3 以下，可能因宗教活動是否為社會參與面向見仁見智。社會參與的內涵 以社團活動、 學習活動、休閒活動、宗教活動及志願性服務等五個面向 作為社會參與之評量架構面，在社會參與宗教活動的確可能會影響身心 發展，但是否該列入「社會參與」的構面中，建議在文獻探討中，再蒐 集整理更多相關研究。因為一位宗教信仰瘋狂的人，不見得有很豐富的 社會參與，因為他可能是過度迷信；而無神論者也可能有很多的社團、
學習、休閒活動而與周邊的人與環境有許多互動。
