本文涉及的跨文化適應和溝通理論的研究者大多來自美國,其理論基礎還是 以西方文化土壤為主,而關於華人,特別是有著相似文化脈絡的大陸和台灣的跨 文化溝通理論較為缺乏,因此所運用的跨文化溝通理論在語境上有所區隔。除此 之外,目前關於社交媒體與文化適應間關係的研究還停留在實證研究的階段,缺 乏系統的理論論述。
與過去關於陸生適應議題的研究相比,將新興傳播科技在文化適應上的角色 納入考量。儘管小部分研究者關注到了社交媒體的作用,但僅僅從單一的媒體使 用進行探討,未關注到多平台共用多工的現象。但本研究忽略了傳統媒體和社會 網絡的影響,未來研究可進一步分析。
第三節 未來研究建議
由於本研究在研究方法採取的是深度訪談輔以參與觀察,在執行資料的蒐集 上有所限制,未能完整描繪陸生的社交媒體使用模式,未來可以採取民族誌等更 貼近陸生生活脈絡的研究方法,就陸生使用社交媒體的具體情境,使用時的心理 狀態等,結合陸生在社交媒體上創造的科技文本加以討論分析,可能得到更豐富 的結果。另一方面,質性研究所能接觸的訪談對象有限,可以使用抽樣調查法等 量化的研究方法,對陸生具體的社交媒體使用輪廓和情況加以研究,結果將更具 有代表性。
本文的研究對象只選取了來台就讀碩博士學位的大陸籍學生,未來可以將研 究樣本擴大到大學生、二技生和專升本的陸生,更能描繪陸生群體在社交媒體使 用上的樣貌。

此外,本研究主要透過質性研究的方法,獲取個體的使用經驗來分析陸生來 台後社交媒體使用上的轉變,關注的是結果,未能就陸生的社會網絡進行分析,
也未就其變化的具體過程展開分析和論述,未來可做社會網絡分析和總縱時性的 研究。
