Abstract
stage to gain extensive viewpoints on the early
intervention services. There were fourteen parents and thirteen professionals participating in six group interviews. The interviews were all tape-recorded and transcribed. The author was the leader of the discussion and also the primary analyst of the transcribed data. Also, the
example, parents and professionals hold different views on the early intervention services. Parents were more concerned about social welfare benefits and obtaining resource support such as transportation services. Professionals were more concerned on current intervention services such as Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) implementation, and interdisciplinary assessment. These findings may indicate the need in future research.
