參與國際研討會與發表演講：
1."Roadstead, ruins, and remembrances: EuroAmerican mappings of
Taiwanfu, 1842-1876." 論文，發表在「海洋古都：府城文明之形塑」國際研討會.

(1)是否達到延攬預期目標？

本延攬計畫是在以費德廉教授多年收集之十九世紀後半葉西洋人對於台南、安平一帶之描寫，
重建十九世紀台南府城末年台南府城與安平的聚落、港口、都市的情況，費德廉教授在本校客 座期間不但已經公開於本校歷史系舉辦的國際學術會議中發表相關的研究論文，而且在臺灣 文學系、歷史系做相關的演講，因此已經成當初延攬的預期目標。
(2)研究或教學或科技研發與管理的方法、專業知識及進度如何？
What are the methods, professional knowledge, and progress of the research, teaching, or R&D and management work?
費德廉教授在本校客座期間透過研究成果之發表、演講、參與本校師生之討論，將其多年來搜 即使料之經驗與成果分享給本校師生、研究人員，本校人員收穫甚多。
(3)受延攬人之研究或教學或科技研發與管理成果對該計畫(或貴單位)助益如何？
How have the research, teaching, or R&D and management results of the employed person given benefit to the project (or your unit)?
費德廉教授在本校客座期間透過研究成果之發表、演講、參與本校師生之討論，將其多年來搜 即使料之經驗與成果分享給本校師生、研究人員，本校人員不但瞭解西洋文獻種類、數量及內 容，而且還經費德廉教授同意可以使用其建置網站中史料，可謂獲益甚多。
(4)受延攬人於補助期間對貴單位或國內相關學術科技領域助益如何？
How has the employed person, during his or her term of employment, benefited your unit or the relevant
domestic academic field?
費德廉教授專精之領域，不但於台灣史的範疇內具有意義，而且也可以作為近年國內學術界 對於西洋文學中之異己書寫的研究題材，因此除了國內之台灣史學者對於費德廉教授之研究 感到興趣之外，西洋文學的研究者也相當重視費教授的研究，顯然費教授所收集的史料及其 研究，對於國內多種學科都有影響。
(5)具體工作績效或研究或教學或科技研發與管理成果：

費德廉教授在本校客座期間的成果除了有學術論文之外，還有公開演講，並且還承諾將於近 期內選寫另外一篇關於十九世紀安平地區的學術研究論文，將納入為「臺灣沿海聚落安平之 歷史調查研究」計畫之部分成果。
