Full-time employees and average earnings Change
Full-time employees in the Gaming Sector decreased by 1,691 year-on-year to 55,768, with female employees making up 58.0%. Shift working employees accounted for 94.4% of the total employees in the Sector.
Average earnings (excluding bonuses) of full-time employees in June rose by 2.1% year-on-year to MOP23,690; resident and non-resident employees earned an average of MOP23,820 and MOP20,440 respectively.
There were only 56 vacancies in the Gaming Sector, an increase of 31 year-on-year. Among the vacancies, 44.6% required work experience and 51.8%
required tertiary education; meanwhile, requirement for knowledge of Mandarin and English stood at 80.4% and 78.6% respectively.
Number of dealers totalled 24,643, down by 701 year-on-year; their average earnings rose by 3.5% to MOP19,950.

In the second quarter, number of new recruits and employees leaving employment totalled 466 and 1,016 respectively. The employee recruitment rate (0.8%) and the employee turnover rate (1.8%) increased by 0.6 and 1.2 percentage points respectively, while the job vacancy rate was only 0.1%.
These indicators reflected that the level of manpower demand in the Gaming Sector remained relatively low.

Participants by course category
As regards vocational training, 76.9% of the gaming enterprises provided vocational training to their employees. In the second quarter, a total of 1,354 courses were organised. Number of participants dropped by 15.0% year-on-year to 254,980, and almost all of the participants attended courses during office hours.
Among the participants, 50.8% attended courses in Business & Administration, 17.3% in Presentation & Communication Skills and 12.4% in Gaming &
Entertainment Services.
There were 96.1% of the participants attending courses organised by the gaming enterprises, and almost all participants were employer-sponsored.
